Voting System

The panel of judges will consist of one representative from each school and Rt. Hon. Janet Anderson MP. A representative from the Rossendale Hospice will oversee the judging process, but will not vote.

The judging process will be as follows:

Each of the seven voting members of the panel will give each contestant a mark out of ten in each of the five categories outlined below, except those contestants from their own school. These marks will be totalled giving a mark out of 300 for each contestant. The contestant with the highest total is the winner.

In the event that there is a tie, each of the seven members of the panel will cast a single vote for their choice from the contestants tied for first place. The contestant(s) with the lowest number of votes is eliminated and the process repeated with the remaining contestants until a winner is found.

In the unlikely case that the panel cannot agree on a winner using the above method the final decision will fall to Mr. D. Heywood.
